X-Chat Aqua: Aha! UTF-8!

Wow that was annoying to me, not being able to use any non-ASCII characters in chat. Turns out you need to set, in the server settings, the encoding to UTF-8 (see this here screenshot)

i just did a google search for the same question and ended up in here!

im using XChat Aqua Version 0.17.0-rc1 and i see absolutely no where or how to enable the Unicode UTF-8 support! (in my case, it is to at least READ russian cyrillic characters in a chatroom window)

i believe XChat Aqua doesn’t support unicode UTF-8, if im right, then this is one of the small annoying reasons what makes macs to suck!! this is just truly stupid bullshit, MIRC is supporting unicode blablah since AGES and thats why everyone uses it…

i hope im worng and there is some how possible to make XChat Aqua to support unicode UTF-8
